In a world where our cognitive functioning is being challenged, we need to remember that our education system is anchored in narratives dating back to Quintilian and Plutarch. The methods we use to teach our kids were created to take us from farms into faculties and from faculties into cubicles. We can’t place our education system in direct competition with technology. If we try that, we will lose. We need to rethink our rethinking and instead of looking at ways to change the way we teach, instead focus on what we teach.
